Ashlee won the Hope of America award at her school. They pick one girl and one boy from the 5th grade to present this award to. We had kept it a surprise (which was very difficult for me even though it was only for 1 day). It was a very proud moment for Jared and I. She's always been a pretty smart kid. She also won the "Speed Deamon" (fastest typer) award, and won the school and then the district pentathalon award for the 40-yard-dash. She ran it in 5.9 seconds. WOW! And she was in the 10% or higher in the nation on the IOWA tests.
What a way to end 5th grade. There is a plaque at the school that has the Hope of America winners on it and she was excited that her name will always be there at the school.
So to celebrate we ate at Maddox. Way to Go ASHLEE!!
